Alert history is useful in obtaining insights into past-generated alerts and to understand how severity of specific alerts may have changed over a period of time.
  • Time Filter:- It is the duration to which you want the alert history to be generated. There are various options, such as - Last 10 minutes,Last 30 minutes, last 1 hour, last 2 hour, last 4 hour, last 6 hour,last 12 hour, last 24 hour, today, yesterday, last 7 days, this week, last 3 weeks, last 6 months, last year, custom. In case of custom, provide the start date and time and end date and time.
  • Alert Severity:- Filter alerts from history for applied duration. There are various options, such as - New Alerts, Continuous Alert, Ended Alert, Upgraded Alerts, Downgraded Alerts
    • New Alerts:– Filters all the alerts if the alert is started with the applied severity.
    • Continous Alerts:– Filters all the alerts which remain in the same state for the applied time period in rule.
    • Ended Alerts:– Filters all the alerts which end in the applied time period.
    • Upgraded Alerts:– Filters only those alerts which get upgraded from their previous state. The options are - Minor to Major, Minor to Critical, Major to Critical.
    • Downgraded Alerts:– Filters only those alerts which get downgraded from their previous state. The options are - Critical to Major, Critical to Minor, Major to Minor.
  • Alert Rules:- Filters all the alerts in applied duration for selected rules from the list. The multiple selection of rules are also available.
  • Info Alerts:- Filters all the info alerts which are generated in applied duration with the selected reasons. There are various reasons, such as - Started, Continuous, Ended, Upgraded, Downgraded, Force clear, Clear due to delete rule, Clear due to update rule, Clear due to disable rule, Ended due to maintenance, Ended due to rule scheduling, Ended due to global configuration change, Downscaling, No data available, Action configuration change, Maintenance configuration change, Global configuration change. The multiple selection of reasons are also applied.
  • Subject Filter:- Filter alerts for applied subject in applied duration. Part of the subject or full hierarchy of the subject can be applied in the filter.
    • Note:- Here, the user can either provide the full hierarchy of subjects separated by the ">" symbol or provide keywords without ">" symbol to apply it as a pattern search.
  • Other:- Filters all the alerts based on below filters for applied duration. The Options are - Maintenance Window Changes, Alert Configuration changes, Action Changes, Force clear alert, Clear due to Rule Change, Clear due to Configuration Change, Clear due to rule scheduling, Clear due to maintenance, Max Limit.
    • Maintenance Window Changes:– Filter alerts which are generated for any change in applied maintenance window.
    • Alert Configuration changes:– Filter alerts which are generated for any change in applied global configuration.
    • Action Changes:– Filter alerts which are generated for any change in applied action configuration.
    • Force Clear Alert:– Filter alerts which are force cleared by the User.
    • Clear due to Rule Change:– Filter alerts which are ended on any change in applied rule.
    • Clear due to Configuration Change:– Filter alerts which are ended on any change in global configuration.
    • Clear due to rule scheduling:– Filter alerts which are ended because the rule schedule is inactive.
    • Clear due to maintenance:– Filter alerts which are ended on any change in applied rule.
    • Max Limit:– Get the maximum number of records from history to display in the history table. The default value is 10000.
