Create a Maintenance Window

Users can create either one-time or recurring maintenance windows, view and manage existing configurations, and preview the maintenance impact using an interactive scheduler.

Click the Add button at the top to open a new tab for creating a maintenance schedule. The configuration window is divided into the following sections:

1. Maintenance Configuration Section:

• Subject Level: Choose the target scope (e.g., Server, Tier, Tag, Group, Application, etc.) to apply the alert maintenance.
• Description: Provide a meaningful description of the maintenance.

2. Maintenance Schedule Section:

You can configure the schedule as either a One Time or Recurring window.

One Time

This option is used for single, non-repeating maintenance events.

• Start From: Select the date from which the window starts.
• At: Define the time the window begins.
• For: Enter the duration of the maintenance.
• Time Zone: Choose the appropriate time zone (e.g., CDT).

A Schedule Preview Panel is shown on the right, which reflects the actual start time and duration.

Use the Schedule Preview Panel on the right to verify the calculated timings.

Click the refresh icon after making changes to update the preview.

Recurring

Use this option to define repeating maintenance windows.

• Start From: Date when the recurring schedule begins.
• At: Start time for each occurrence.
• For: Duration of each recurrence.
• Time Zone: Time zone setting.
• Repeat Every: Frequency of recurrence (e.g., every 1 day or 2 weeks).
• End Condition: Choose when to stop the recurrence (Never, After N runs, or Until a specific date).

Click on Add New Recurrence Rule to define multiple rules. For each rule, define:

• Duration
• Start Time
• Time Zone

Click the refresh icon to view updated values.

To view additional schedules, click on Show More. This will display more upcoming schedule entries.

Final Actions

At the bottom of the configuration tab:

• Click Apply to save and activate the maintenance schedule.
• Click Cancel to discard the configuration and close the tab.
