Test Suite is the Load Test entity to control the execution of tests together with the comparison of actual outcomes to predicted outcomes (SLA). It involves automating a manual process that uses a formalized testing process. A TestSuite can be configured to execute a single test case or multiple test cases.

In Automation, once you click the Test Suite Icon, you get the following Columns:

• Project- The Project is the parent directory of the Sub Project.
• Sub-Project- Sub-Project is the directory where all test assets (Script, Scenario, TestSuite, Services, etc.) are stored.
• Test Suite-Specifies the name of the TestSuite.
• Modification Date- It shows the time and date when the test suite is modified.
• TestCase Count- Shows the number of Testcases applied in the TestSuite.
• Action: It shows the following action to be taken:
  • Run Test Suite: Click this option to run the test suite.
  • Edit Test Suite: Use to edit any Test Suite.
  • Delete Test Suite: Use this option to delete the test suite.
  • Version Commit: Users can commit the changes, after clicking on any script Version Commit options a model window will appear in the same screen to commit the changes.
  • Version Log: Users can view the commit logs.
• Global Action:It has the following option:
  • Filter TestSuite: Use this option to select the test suite based on project, subproject, and last updated time period.
  • Show All: It will show all the available test suites.
  • Download: Download the selected test suite file.
  • Copy: Copy the selected test suite for another project or sub-project.
  • Test Suite Schedule: It will schedule the test suite for future run.
  • Delete: Used to delete the available test suite.
  • Add Test Suite: To Add a Test Suite, click the Add button. Following are the fields to be filled to add the test suite:
    • Project: The Project is the parent directory of the Sub Project.
    • Subproject: Sub-Project is the directory where all test assets (Script, Scenario, TestSuite, Services, etc.) are stored.
    • Test Suite Name: Specifies the name of the suite.
    • Test Case: Select the test case from the drop-down.
    • Action on Failure: Decide whether to continue or abort the test in case of failure.
    • Parameterization Mode: In the Parameterization Mode, the user can select any of the below options:
      • No Parameterization: In this case, the test case will execute as per the execution count.
      • Parameterization Using Iteration File: In this case, the test case will execute the execution count multiplied by iteration count times.
    • Execution Count: Enter the number of execution of the test.
    • Add: Add a test case with provided options in the test suite.
    • Mail Configuration-: Once you check Attach Report of all test cases in single Email checkbox, you can configure email settings like TO, CC, BCC, and mail body. By configuring this a single email will include all test case reports will be sent.

Note:- By default, Email will go for each test case separately.

Once all of the above fields are filled, click on the icon in the top right corner to save the test suite.
