Manage service contains the list of all the services which are being managed by the service virtualization. In manage services, there are following fields which are described below:

• Project: This column represents the name of the project.
• Sub Project: This column represents the name of the sub-project.
• Service: It is the unique name given to the service which is being created and imported. All the services lies in this column
• URL: It is the unique web address (URL) at which the clients of a specific service can gain access to it. The unique URLs of the service lies in this column.
• Templates: In this column users can find the number of templates service have.
• LastModified: In this column users can find the date and time when this service was last modified.
• UpdatedBy: This column represents the username which has last updated the services.
• State: This column shows the state of the service i.e.:
  1. Running: This state indicates that the service is running.
  2. Stopped: This state indicates that the service is stopped.
  3. Failed: This state indicates that the service is failed.
  4. Created: This state indicates that a new service is being created.
• Mode: It defines the mode for the type of service. The following modes are listed below:
  1. Simulate: It is the request for the same server.
  2. Forward: It supports the ability to forward the request to another endpoint.
• Type: It is the type of protocol in which the service runs. There are following service types available:
  1. TCP: It is a standard of communication that enables application programs and computing device to exchange message over the network.
  2. HTTP: It is a communication protocol which is used to connect to Web servers on the internet or on a local network.
  3. JMS: Java Message Service is an API that provides the facility to create, send and read messages.
• Host: Hostname or IP address of the backend server or endpoint server is the server from where the response is captured to the Service Virtualization.
• Action: In Action, there are following options which are listed below:
  1. To Edit Service: Click the edit icon. It is used for editing an existing service.
  2. To Copy Service: Click the to copy. It is used to make a copy of an existing service for creating a new service.
  3. To Move Selected Service(s) to Recycle Bin: Click the icon. It is used for moving a selected service to the recycle bin.
  4. Test:
  5. Test service allows you to test a service on the virtual server where the service is hosted.
  6. It is recommended to do a quick validation of your service before using it in Load/Performance testing.

Global Action Icon

You can perform the following actions in the Manage Services window which are listed below:

• Activate Service: This option is used for activating all changes done in service and other settings.
• Toggle Column: This option is used to show or hide a particular column in the table.
• Refresh: This option is used to refresh the manage service window.
• GIT: This option is used to manage a project or a set of files as they change over time. It is of three types: History, GIT Commit and GIT Pull.
• To Stop Service(s) and Activate: This option is used to stop and activate a service.
• To Import Service: This option is used to import a service.
• To Delete Selected Services: This option is used to delete a selected service.
• Download Table: This option is sued for downloading the table.
• Kebab Menu: In kebab menu, you can see the following options which are listed below:
  1. Change to Forward Mode: This option is used to provide forward settings to the service level.
  2. Change to Stimulate Mode: This option is used to change the selected service to stimulate mode.
  3. Export Service: This option is used to export a service through a file name.
  4. Recycle Bin: This option is used to send the selected service to the recycle bin.
  5. Global Scale Service Time: This option is used to apply scale service time to a service.
  6. Created
  7. Restored
  8. Failed
  9. Mode: It defines the type of the service. The following modes are listed below:
  10. All
  11. Simulated
  12. Forward
  13. Mixed
  14. Last Modified: It shows the date and time when the service was last modified.
  15. Keyword: It shows the keyword which is being entered.

Notes:

• If you want to see the modified services, then you have to click on the Modified Service toggle button.  
• To apply the filters, you have to click on the Apply button.
• If you don’t want to apply filters, then you have to click on the Show All button.
