A session is a sequence of activities that a visitor with a unique IP address spends on a website during a specified period. A visitor session begins upon accessing the application and ends when the visitor quits the application. The number of visitor sessions on a site is used in measuring the amount of traffic a website gets. In a session, you can see the following details which are listed below:

• Session Details
• Pages
• Custom Metrics

Note: You can access a specific session detail by clicking on that corresponding session on the left side panel.

Session Details

The session details tab shows the detailed information regarding a particular session. In session details, you can see the following information regarding a session in a card view which are listed below:

• Channel: This refers to the medium through which you can access the session. The channel can be either: Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.
• Device: This refers to the device through which the visitor is accessing the site. The device can be either: PC, Mobile or Tablet.
• OS: This refers to the information regarding the operating system such as: OS version, name etc.
• Connection Type: Connection Type denotes the type of the connection used such as: 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi.
• Browser: This refers to the browser’s name by which the visitor is accessing the site. In this, you can see the browser name along with its version such as: FireFox (24.0).
• User Agent: A user agent is a string of text that identifies the software and device making a request to a web server. The user agent string provides information about the client, such as its browser type, version, and operating system.
• Entry Page: This refers to the page from where the visitor entered to the site. When the visitor hits the site address on the browser, by default the home page is displayed. From the entry page only, the visitor can proceed and access the site.
• Exit Page: This refers to the exit page of the session. An exit page is the page from which the visitor has ended the session.
• Store ID: This refers to an identifier that is used to differentiate and manage individual user sessions or data stores within a system or application.
• Terminal ID: This refers to a unique identifier assigned to a physical or virtual terminal or device that is used to interact with a computer system or network.
• Bot User: This refers to the interactions or activities carried out by automated software programs known as bots or robots.
• Bot Score: This refers to percentage value that represents the likelihood or level of suspicion that a particular session is associated with a bot (short for robot) rather than a human user.
• Secure Client Authentication: This refers to the process of verifying the identity of a client in a secure and reliable manner before granting access to resources, services, or functionalities within a system or application. It has two options:
  • Not Authorized: This refers to a session filter which determines that a user or client is not authorized, it typically denies or restricts their access to certain resources, functionalities, or actions.
  • Authenticated Failed: This refers to the outcome of an attempt by client to verify their identity during the authentication process, but the provided authentication tokens do not match the valid credentials stored in the system.
• Screen Resolution: This refers to a measurement of the dimensions of a user's computer screen or display, typically represented as the width and height of the screen in pixels.
• Monitor Pixel Depth: This refers to a metric that indicates the number of bits used to represent each pixel's color on a computer monitor.
• Monitor Color Depth: This refers to the measurement of a computer monitor's ability to display colors accurately.
• Order Total: This refers to the total number of count which are ordered by the visitor.
• Order Count: This refers to the number of order placed or completed by a user or customer during a specific session on a website or application.
• Location: This refers to the geographical location of a user or device during an online session on a website or application, such as: USA.
• Session ID: A session id is a unique identifier assigned to individual user sessions within an application or website.
• Session Start: A session start refers to the specific point in time when a user's session with a software application or a website This refers to the date and time at which the session was started.
• Session End: A session end refers to a specific point in time when a user's session with a software application or a website concludes or terminates. This refers to the date and time at which the session got ended.
• Session Duration: A session duration refers to the length of time a user's session with a software application or website lasted. It measures the period from the session's start time to its end time and provides valuable insights into user engagement and behavior. This refers to the total time for which the session was executed.
• Login ID: A login id refers to a unique identifier associated with a user's login or account within a software application or website. This refers to the login id through which the user had logged in the session.
• Client IP: This refers to the unique IP address of the device or computer that is making a request to a server or network resource.
• User Segment: A user segment is a group of users having some common behavior or attributes.
• JS Agent Version: This refers to the version of a JavaScript agent or library that is being used in a web session. This information is typically associated with web analytics and monitoring tools that use JavaScript agents to collect data about user interactions and website performance.
• Config Version: This refers to the version of configuration settings or parameters associated with a software application or system. This version number helps identify and manage the specific configuration settings that are in use during a given session or period of operation.

Global Action Items

In the session details window, you can also perform the following operations which are listed below:

• Play Session : On clicking this icon, you can replay a session from the session detail window. This navigates the you to the session replay window.
• Export Session Details : On clicking this icon, you can download the session details in Excel format.
• Similar Session Filter Bag : On clicking this icon, you will have these options: include user action, include HTTP failure, include JS error, include event. You can select either single or multiple options, once you select you have to click on the Submit Submit Button. Once you click on the button, the sequence will be add into the similar session filter bag.
• Export as Test Case : On clicking this icon, you can download the test cases into your local.
• View Flow path Report : On clicking this icon, you will be navigated to the Flowpath window where you can view the ND flowpath reports of that particular session.
• View Logs : On clicking this icon, you will be navigated to the Logs window where you can view the NF log reports of that particular session.

Note: You can also see the Session ID at the top left corner of the Session window.
