A generator is a machine that is used for load generation on a server. It contains all the generator list that a client can use. A client can also add a new generator as per their requirement. In the generator, you can see the following details: Name, Region, Vendor, Capacity, IP, Type, Whitelist Group, Version, and Status.

• Name: This field shows the names of the locations for which the generator can be located.
• Region: This field shows the name of the region in which the generator is situated.
• Vendor: This field shows the name of the service provider whose generator is being used.
• Capacity: This field shows the allocated capacity for the generator. The capacity can be either: Low, Medium, or High.
• IP: This field shows the IP address of the generator which is being used.
• Type: This field shows the type of the generator such as: Permanent or Monthly.
• Whitelist Group: This field shows the list of all the whitelisted generators.
• Version: This field shows the tomcat version which is running on the generator.
• Status: This field shows the current status of the generator i.e.: Unavailable, Available, Down, Free.
• Adding a Generator: To add a generator, click on the Add button. Once you click on add button, Add Generator window will be displayed. In the Add Generator window, you have to provide the following details which are listed below:
  1. Name: In this field, it will display the name of the location.
  2. Vendor: In this field, it will display the vendor’s name.
  3. Region: In this field, it will display the region in which you want to locate the generator. You can select from the drop-down below.
  4. Whitelist Group IP: In this field, it contains the whitelisted group IPs.
  5. IP: In this field, it contains the whitelisted IPs.
  6. Capacity: In this field, you can select various capacity such as: Low, Medium, High
  7. Type: In this field, you can select the type for the generator i.e.: Monthlyor Permanent.
  8. Status: In this field, it will display the status for the generator i.e.: Available, Unavailable, Down, andFree.

  Notes:

  1. All the above mentioned fields are mandatory.
  2. Once you have filled up all the fields, click on the Add  Add button to add the region to the add location table. You can also click on the Cancel   Cancel button to close the window.
  3. You can also perform the following operations on the Account Table which are listed below
     • Refresh: By clicking on this option, you can refresh the region table. To perform the refresh operation, click on the Refresh
     • Search: By clicking on this option, you can apply the search and filter the region table by either: Name, Sub-Region, Vendor, and Zone. To perform the search operation, click on the Search
     • Delete: By clicking on this option, you can delete any region or generator. To delete a generator, click on the checkbox corresponding to the generator name and click on the Delete Delete button.
     • Update: By clicking this option, you can update the account details. To update the details, click on the Update Update button.
  4. You can also perform the following operations once you have added a generator which is listed below:
     • Make Available: On clicking this option, the selected generator will be available for use.
     • Make Unavailable: On clicking this option, the selected generator will be unavailable for use.
     • Import: On clicking this option, you can choose to upload a file from your local. The format of the file should be comma separated.

  Notes:

  1. Once you click on the Importbutton, the import dialog box will appear.
  2. In the import dialog box, click on the Choosebutton to select the file you want to import. Once you have selected the file you want to import, click on the Save  button to save the file. If you don’t want to import the file, then click on the Cancel   Cancel button.
     • Export: On clicking this option, you can download the generator information in CSV
     • Delete: On clicking this option, a confirmation dialog box will appear

  Note: Click on the Delete button to delete the added location. Once you click on the delete button, the location name will be deleted from the location list. If you don't want to delete the location name, then click on the Cancel Cancel button.

  1. Health Check :On clicking this option, you can check the health of a particular generator.
