Logs

The logs tab is used to configure the debug levels for logs. You can select the debug level from 0 to 4. This defines the information level to be stored at the trace level. The default level is 0, which contains the most basic information. Further levels (i.e., 1, 2, 3, and 4) contain information as the level increases.

• Debug level: Select the debug level from the Debug Level section to configure the debug level of server logs and dashboard server logs.
• Module debug level: For the Module Debug Level, first, select the module name and then select the debug level for that module.

Percentile

A percentile is the value of a variable below which a certain percent of observations fall. For Example: If we consider the 20th percentile then the 20th percentile of data lies below the 20% of overall data.

There are the following options for this:

• Select Percentile to view: The default percentile views are displayed. Select the percentile to view from the drop-down list.
• Select All: To select all available percentile views, select the Select All
• Default Percentile: Select the Default Percentiles button to view the default percentile.

Note: Select the Save In Config File check box to save the configuration setting in the Config file, if not saved then next it will consider the default setting. Apply the settings by clicking the OK button. To cancel the settings, click the Cancel button.

Transaction Details

You can modify transaction detail settings from below:

• Show selected percentile: Tick the check box to show selected percentile data in transaction details. You can select multiple percentile values as well.
  • Select Default percentile: Click the Select Default Percentiles button to override selected percentiles values with default percentiles.
• Threshold for Transaction details paginations: Enter the threshold for pagination from 20 to 1000 in Transaction Details.
• Transaction Time Unit: Enter the unit required to measure the transaction time: milliseconds or seconds. If you want to show a decimal value in the transaction time unit, then you can enter the number of decimal digits in the box provided.
• Transaction Rate Unit: Enter the unit for measuring transaction rate. E.g.- per second or per minute.

Note: To save the configuration setting in the Config file, select the Save In Config File check box. Apply the settings by clicking the Apply button.

Favourite Settings

With the help of the Favourite tab, you can specify whether to apply the default time of your favorite or the time specified in the current view. You can also specify whether to load favorites with compare settings. It also provides a feature to enable a dynamic Dashboard. There are the following fields in the favorite tab section:

• Load Graph Time Settings from favorite: If you select the Load Graph Time Settings from Favorite checkbox, the graph time settings are loaded from favorite. If you do not select this check box, no time of the favorite is saved and the system considers the last saved value (default value). For example, if the current view of the favorite is last 1 hour and the default view is last 4 hours. Then, selecting this checkbox saves the favorite current value, i.e., last 1 hour. On not selecting this checkbox, no value of the favorite is saved and the system takes the last specified value (default value) i.e., the last 4 hours of loading the favorite.
• Enable dynamic Web dashboard: The Dynamic Dashboard feature allows a user to view the most recent updates in the graphs. You can enable Dynamic Dashboard by selecting the Enable Dynamic WebDashboard On enabling this, the graphs are displayed based on the runtime changes.

Note: You can also specify Refresh Interval for Dynamic WebDashboard in minutes. For this enter the time in the box provided in minutes.

• Execute scroll event outside zone: To execute the scroll event outside the zone, tick the given checkbox.
• Enable data source as database: To show the data source as a database, tick the given checkbox.
• Parallel Request Limit: Parallel request in a web dashboard refers to the ability to send multiple requests to a server concurrently from the dashboard interface So enter the value of the parallel request limit which you want.
• Load time format from favorite: If you want to include the load time format from favorite, check the given box.
• Treat Unspecified Parts of Subject Hierarchy as 'All' For Filtering: If you want to treat unspecified parts of the subject hierarchy as 'All' for filtering, then you can tick the given box.

Metrics Settings

Metric Settings helps us to specify whether to apply gradient color on chart types or not and up to how many decimals the value is to be displayed on the y-axis.

In Gradient color settings there are the following types of charts that you can select:

• Area chart: An area chart displays graphically quantitative data. The area between the axis and line is commonly emphasized with colors and textures.
• Pie Chart: A pie chart is useful in the case of multiple graphs. If one graph is converted into Pie, then a simple circle filled with one color is displayed.
• Donut Chart: A donut chart, also known as a doughnut chart, is a type of circular chart that is used to display data in a segmented format. It is similar to a pie chart but with a hole in the center, creating a donut-like appearance.
• Bar Chart: A bar chart, also known as a bar graph, is a type of chart that uses rectangular bars to represent data. It is commonly used to compare and display categorical data or to show the relationship between different variables.
• Stacked Area Chart: A stacked area chart, also known as a stacked area graph, that is a type of chart used to display the cumulative total of multiple variables or categories over time or another continuous axis. It is an extension of the line chart and is particularly effective for showing the composition and relative contribution of each variable to the total.
• Stacked Bar Chart: A stacked bar chart, also known as a stacked column chart, is a type of chart that displays multiple categories or groups as stacked bars, where each bar represents the total value of the categories or groups. It is an extension of the basic bar chart and is useful for comparing the total magnitude of different categories and their composition within each category.

In Y-axis you have the following options:

• Show Decimal Digit: Enter the number of digits you want to show after decimals.
• Enable Gridline: To enable the gridlines, select the given checkbox. Gridlines are horizontal and vertical lines that are displayed in a chart or graph, forming a grid-like pattern. They help to visually organize and align data points, making it easier to read and interpret the information presented in the chart.

In the Advanced Settings section, you can configure the following settings:

• Shared Tooltip Threshold: To enable multiple tooltips for different graphs in a single widget.
• Series Boost Threshold: To decrease the width of graphs when a given threshold for the number of graphs is crossed.
• Graph Scaling: To enable/disable the scaling on widgets so that the lowest value graphs become visible in front of higher value graphs.

Note: Filter and Sorting options are available in the Scaling column to filter out scaled values of common scaled factors.

• Lower Panel Pagination: To enable the pagination in the lower panel of the Dashboard and threshold of the pagination.
• Pattern Matching Threshold: Enter the value for the pattern matching threshold. It is a percentage value to recalculate deflection i.e. if deflection in base metrics is 70% and the user wants to find those metrics which have 50% deflection of this, then it will find those metrics which are having 35% deflection from their average value.
• Max Graph limit for Scaling: Enter the limit to define the graphs on which scaling is applied. It allows you to scale graphs using different threshold values.

Example: If the scaling threshold is 20 and the max value of the graph is 100 then all the graphs having values lesser than 100/20 are scaled with the Scaling factor Nx1. All the graphs having values greater than 100*20 are scaled with a Scaling factor shown like Nx2 or Nx/3.

• Inter-widget Update Delay Time (ms): Whenever a new sample arrives on a production test, then graphs are updated one by one with the given delay time.
• Maximum limit for time delay: Enter the maximum time delay threshold which you want to apply.
• Maximum limit for Multiple Dials/Meters: Enter the maximum limit for multiple dials/meters.
• Area Range Graph Threshold: Enter the threshold for the area range graph.
• Geo Country Map: This shows the map of the country which is selected in the Widget.
• Widget Metrics Limit: It shows the limit of the metric in the plotted widget.
• Widget Count Limit: This shows the limit of the count of the widget in the dashboard.
• Enable Monochromatic Color: To enable monochromatic colors in Advance settings.
• Show data points on the graph: Enter the sample value. Data points will be shown on graphs if the sample value is less than or equal to the value given.
• Apply Zoom on Widget: Tick the checkbox, to apply Zoom on the widget.
• Show Offset line:If you want to show the offset line, select the check box.
• Metric Auto Suggestion Limit: Set the metric auto-suggestion limit in this field.

Example: Applied gradient color on Donut chart.

Note: To configure the decimal digits to be displayed with graphs, specify the value in the Show Decimal Digits text box.

Metrics Tree Settings

With metrics tree settings, you can specify whether to refresh the graph tree on the occurrence of run time changes. In addition, you can also specify at what level, and compare group members to be displayed.

Tree node limit: The option 'Tree Nodes Limit' sets the limit on the maximum number of child nodes to be shown when a Tree Expand operation is done. It is recommended to use this limit of less than 500 to avoid any performance issues in tree rendering.

To save this setting in the configuration file, select the Save in Config File check box.

Click Apply button to apply the settings, by apply we apply the changes for the current session only.

DB Settings

In DB settings, you can configure the query timeout (in seconds). Enter the required time out in seconds for the query in the space provided. If the query data is not loaded within the specified time, it will result in a timeout.

To save this setting in the configuration file, select the Save in Config File check box. Click Apply to apply the settings.

Query Settings

Query Settings is used to integrate the dashboard with NF UI for NFquery widget. You need to mention the unified NetForest machine URL (NF UI IP and Port).

Log Monitoring Server Base-URL- Enter the URL of the log monitor server base. E.g. - http://0.0.0.5601

To save this setting in the configuration file, select the Save in Config File check box. Click Apply button to apply the settings.

Data Settings

Data Settings is used for data/unit settings as per response time in terms of sec or milliseconds.

• Unit Setting- Select the response time unit in seconds and milliseconds. If you don’t select any of the above mentioned response time, then it will select Auto as default.
• Missing samples and samples with zero settings
  • Global Policy- Check the box if you want to use the global policy.
  • Fill data for samples having counted as
    • Fill as zero
    • Treat as a missing sample
  • Data for missing samples- Fill in the data for missing samples as:
    • Repeat the last samples number of times repeated
    • Fill as zero
    • Don’t fill
    • Using linear interpolation
• Note: For enabling the Missing samples and samples with zero settings, first you have to enable the Use following global policy check box.

To save this setting in the configuration file, select the Save in Config File check box. Click Apply button to apply the settings in configuration file.

End To End View Settings

Under this tab, users will have options to select metrics in the metrics group. The dropdown will show only metrics ‘Business Transaction’ and ‘System Stats Linux Extended’ of the metric group because only these metrics are supported right now in the end-to-end view.

Threshold value for connection health: Field is used to see the health of the connection link based on weighted average and the default is 20.
