In the backup window, you can see the SQL VSS Writer Service table along with the following details which are listed below:

• Backup Set ID: This refers to a unique identifier associated with a specific set of backup files created during a database backup operation. This identifier is used to group related backup files together and helps in organizing, tracking, and managing backup sets efficiently.
• Backup Set UID: This refers to the unique backup set identification number which is assigned to a backup set that is used to identify a backup set uniquely.
• Expiration Date: This refers to a system-generated date that is associated with a backup set or a backup media set. This date serves as a reference after which a particular database backup is considered obsolete and can be safely deleted as per the retention policy.
• Software Vender ID: This refers to a unique identifier assigned to independent software vendors (ISVs) that develop and distribute software products that work in conjunction with SQL Server.
• Name: This refers to a user-defined label or identifier that can be assigned to a backup set
• Description: This refers to a user-defined text or comment associated with a backup operation.
• User Name: This refers to the user or database principal associated with the backup operation. It indicates the SQL Server login or user account that initiated the backup.
• Software Major Version: This refers to the major version number of the SQL Server software that was used to create the backup.This version number is significant because it indicates which major release of SQL Server was responsible for generating the backup.
• Software Minor Version: This refers to the minor version number or release number of the SQL Server software that was used to create the backup. This number represents a more granular level of version information than the major version and can be important for various reasons.
• Software Build Version: This refers to the specific build number or version identifier associated with the SQL Server software that was used to create the backup.
• Database Creation Date: his refers to the date and time when the database that is being backed up was initially created. This information can be valuable for various purposes, including documentation, auditing, and understanding the history of a database.
• Backup Start Date: This refers to the date and time when a specific backup operation was initiated. It indicates the precise moment when the backup process began.
• Backup Finish Date: This refers to the date and time when a specific backup operation was successfully completed. It indicates the exact moment when the backup process finished.

Restoring a database is a critical operation in database management and is essential for data recovery, disaster recovery, and various other scenarios. In the Restore window, you can see the SQL VSS Writer Service following details which are listed below:

• Restore History Id: This refers to the historical record or log of the restoration operation that has been performed on a particular database.
• File Number: This refers to a numerical identifier that represents a specific file within a database or a backup set.
• Destination Phys Drive: This refers to the specific disk or storage location where restored database files are placed during the restore process.
• Destination Phys Name: This refers to the name of the physical file on the target system where a restored file is placed. It is used to identify the specific file within the target database where the restored data or log will reside.
• File Group Name: This refers to a logical grouping of database files that are restored or managed together. It is used to organize and group related database files, such as data files, into logical units for the purpose of data recovery.
• Restore Date: This refers to the date and time at which a database restore operation was performed. When a database is restored from a backup.
• Destination Database Name: This refers to the name of the database to which you are restoring data. When you perform a restore operation, you can choose to restore the data from a backup file into a new or existing database.
• User Name: This refers to the SQL Server login or user account that is used to execute the restore operation.

• Device Count: This refers to the number of devices involved in the restore operation. This number can be less than the number of media families for the backup.
• Stop At Mark Name: This refers to the point in time at which the database was recovered.
• Stop Before: This refers to the clause which specify that the log record that is immediately before the mark is the recovery point.

• Search: You can perform search operation in the table by providing the service name, start type, last startup time etc in the Search in table column icon.
• Download : On clicking this icon, it will download the Backup and Restore report in the CSV file format in your local.
• Toggle Columns : On clicking this icon, you will be able to show or hide a column from the Service Logs report window.
• Toggle Filter : On clicking this icon, you will be able to show or hide a column from the Backup and Restore report window.
• You can also see the applied time filter on the right side of the window.
• You can also show/hide the database table report by clicking on the Show/Hide icon.
