A data source list refers to a structured or organized list of data sources that are being monitored or tracked to collect information, metrics, or events. The Data Source List is a fundamental component that outlines where the monitoring system collects its data from. In data source list, you can see the following information which are listed below:

• Monitoring Type
• Database Server List

Monitoring Type

The monitoring type refers to the method or approach used to gather and collect data from the specified data source. The choice of monitoring type determines how the monitoring system interacts with and retrieves information from the data sources. In the monitoring type, you can select the type of monitors which you want to use for monitoring purpose. There are following types of monitors which you can select and apply from the monitoring type drop-down which are listed below:

• POSTGRES Monitoring: This is the practice of collecting, analyzing and managing data from a PostgresSQL database system to ensure its health, performance, security and reliability of the database system.
• MSSQL Monitoring: This refers to the practice of collecting, analyzing and managing data from MSSQL database instance to ensure the health, performance, security and reliability of the database system.
• MYSQL Monitoring: This refers to the practice of systematically collecting, analyzing, and managing data from MySQL database instances to ensure their health, performance, security, and reliability.
• ORACLE Monitoring: This refers to the practice of systematically collecting, analyzing and managing data from Oracle database instances to ensure their health, performance, security and reliability.
• MONGODB Monitoring: This refers to the practice of systematically collecting, analyzing and managing data from MongoDB database instances to ensure their health, performance, security, and reliability.

Database Server List

A database server list is a component within the data source list that contains information about various database server that are being monitored. It provides an inventory of the database servers within an organization or system that are the sources of data to be monitored. In the database server list, you can see the following information which are listed below:

• Server Name: This is a parameter that provides a unique and a human-readable identifier for a specific server that is being monitored.
• Status: This is a parameter that provides information about the current operational status or the condition of a specific data source such as: UP or DOWN.

Notes You can perform the following operations on the data source list window which are listed below:

• You can close the Data Source List window by clicking on the Close button on the top right corner of the window.
• You can reload the DB server list by clicking on the Reload DB Server List icon.
• You can also apply search operation on the Data Source List window by entering the server name or status and then clicking on the Search button.
