Overview

This system monitors NVR using SNMP to track their online status, disk health, and connected cameras. Users can target specific devices by entering an IP address or network range and may provide location details for improved asset management. Advanced SNMP settings allow secure communication and data collection, including support for SNMPv3 with authentication and encryption. Key monitored metrics include device availability (online/offline status), disk health with detailed status codes, and camera operational status. These insights help ensure continuous video surveillance by enabling rapid detection of issues such as device downtime, disk failures, or camera malfunctions.

IP Address or Network Address/Bit

This is a required field where you must enter one or more IP addresses or network ranges in CIDR format.

• You can specify multiple entries using comma-separated values (e.g., 192.168.0.100, 192.168.1.0/24).
• Each entry can be a single IP address (192.168.1.0) or a network range (192.168.1.0/24).

Location Settings

This section helps provide physical context about the location of the Help Section for Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment, especially useful in large deployments across different regions.

• Country: Select or enter the country where the Help Section for Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment is physically installed.
• State: Specify the state or province of the Help Section for Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment's location.
• City: Enter the city for more localized tracking.
• Area: Use this field to narrow down the Help Section for Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment's location within a city, such as a neighborhood or zone. This field is optional but helpful for fine-grained mapping.

  • No Authentication and No Privacy -- Least secure
  • Authentication and No Privacy -- Identity is verified but data is not encrypted
  • Authentication and Privacy -- Both identity verification and data encryption are applied (most secure).

Monitor Configuration

• Frequency: This dropdown allows setting how often disk stats are collected, with options including Same as progress interval, 1 Min, 10 Mins, 1 Hour, 4 Hours, and 1 Day.
• Other Arguments: This field can be used to add extra parameters or filters for customized monitoring. Users can also rename parts of the subject hierarchy using the --replace option in the format --replace URLEncode(key)=URLEncode(value),URLEncode(key1)=URLEncode(value1). For example, in the subject hierarchy India>Delhi>Delhi>Siabaad>cpo1>192.168.1.0:161>lable01, if a user wants to replace lable01 with Disk01, they can enter --replace label=Disk01, which updates the path to India>Delhi>Delhi>Siabaad>cpo1>192.168.1.0:161>Disk01. Multiple replacements can be applied by separating them with commas.

Note: The Other Arguments field may vary based on specific requirements.

Hikvision Video Recorders NVR Stats

This section displays the online status of Hikvision NVR using SNMP monitoring. It helps identify whether a Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment is currently reachable and active in the network.

• Group Name: This field shows the name of the metric group, i.e. SNMP Hikvision Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment Online Stats.
• Group Description: This field explains that the group provides the online/offline status of Hikvision Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployments.
• Supported Operating Systems: This field shows that all OS types are supported.
• Metric Hierarchy: This field displays the hierarchy as Country > State > City > Area > Host > Device.
• Category: This field shows the metric category as SNMP Metrics

Metric Table

• Metric: This metric shows whether the Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment is currently online.
• Description:
  • A value of 1 means the Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment is online and reachable.
  • A value of 2 means the Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment is not available or offline.

Note:

• Use this to monitor Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment availability in real time.
• A "not available" status could be due to power issues, network disconnection, or device failure.
• Regular monitoring ensures uninterrupted video surveillance and quick issue resolution.

Hikvision Video Recorders NVR Stats

This section monitors the disk status of Hikvision NVR using SNMP, helping track disk health and operational state.

• Group Name: This field shows the name of the metric group, i.e. SNMP Video Recorders and Peripherals Deployment Disk Stats.
• Group Description: This field explains that the group monitors disk-related parameters for NVR.
• Supported Operating Systems: This field shows that all OS types are supported.
• Metric Hierarchy: This field displays the hierarchy as Country > State > City > Area > Host > Device > Disk.
• Category: This field shows the metric category as SNMP Metrics.

This section monitors the health status of Hikvision cameras using SNMP.

• Group Name: This field shows the name of the metric group, i.e. SNMP HikCamera Status.
• Group Description: This field explains that the group tracks the operational status of Hikvision cameras.
• Supported Operating Systems: This field shows that all OS types are supported.
• Metric Hierarchy: This field displays the hierarchy as Country > State > City > Area > Host > Device > CamName.
• Category: This field shows the metric category as SNMP Metrics.

Metric Table

• Metric: Camera Health Status.
• Description: Represents the camera's operational state, where 0 means Normal and 1 means Disabled.

Mimosa Total Client Stats

This section shows the total number of clients connected to a CPE device.

• Group Name: This field shows the name of the metric group, i.e. CPE Total Client.
• Group Description: This field explains that the group monitors the total clients attached to CPE devices.
• Supported Operating Systems: This field shows that all OS types are supported.
• Metric Hierarchy: This field displays the hierarchy as Country > State > City > Area.
• Category: This field shows the metric category as SNMP Metrics.

Mimosa Client Status

This section monitors the connection status of clients attached to BTS devices.

• Group Name: This field shows the name of the metric group, i.e. BTS Client Status.
• Group Description: This field explains that the group tracks the connection status of BTS clients.
• Supported Operating Systems: This field shows that all OS types are supported.
• Metric Hierarchy: This field displays the hierarchy as Country > State > City > Area > WarehouseName > DeviceIP > DeviceMAC.
• Category: This field shows the metric category as SNMP Metrics

• Metric: BTS Client Status
• Description: Indicates whether a client is connected or disconnected, with 1 meaning Connected and 0 meaning Disconnected.

Mimosa Interface Bandwidth Stats

This section provides an estimate of the current bandwidth usage of a network interface.

• Group Name: This field shows the name of the metric group, i.e. MimosaInterfaceBandwidth.
• Group Description: This field explains that the group monitors the bandwidth statistics of network interfaces.
• Supported Operating Systems: This field shows that all OS types are supported.
• Metric Hierarchy: This field displays the hierarchy as Country > State > City > Area > InterfaceName.
• Category: This field shows the metric category as SNMP Metrics.

• Description: An estimate of the interface's current bandwidth measured in bits per second.

Internet Availability (obsolete)

This section shows the accessibility status of the internet for a specific interface.

• Group Name: This field shows the name of the metric group, i.e. Internet Availability.
• Group Description: This field explains that the group monitors internet accessibility for interfaces.
• Supported Operating Systems: This field shows that all OS types are supported.
• Metric Hierarchy: This field displays the hierarchy as Country > State > City > Area > InterfaceName.
• Category: This field shows the metric category as SNMP Metrics.

• Description: Indicates the internet status with codes:

Deploy Monitors Using Cavisson Agent

• Tier Selection: You can deploy monitors on specific tiers by selecting from the list. Available tiers include: All Tiers, 30_126, App_OCP, App_Php, CavAM, CavBugzilla, CavBuild, Cavisson, CavNode, CavUI, CSTeam, Infra, iSalus, Lowes, NsecomApp, PHPAgent, PHPTier, PreSales and Python.
• Selecting "All Tiers": When you select All Tiers, the system will include all the above tiers for deployment.
• Exclude Tier Dropdown: When All Tiers is selected, an Exclude Tier dropdown appears allowing you to exclude one or more tiers from the deployment. The Exclude Tier dropdown contains the same list of tiers except for "All Tiers," so you can exclude any specific tier(s) such as 30_126, App_OCP, CavAM, etc.
• Usage Example: Select All Tiers to deploy on all tiers, then use the Exclude Tier dropdown to exclude specific tiers if needed.

After selecting the desired tiers and exclusions, click the Add button to confirm and deploy the monitors with your selected configuration.
