HTTP Setting

This allows user to use HTTP settings, such as keep alive time and decode request content settings. It also provides provision to configure mock response details, content length indicator, and date header.

HTTP Settings Details

• Decode Request Content: HTTP settings have decoded request content and keep alive timeout, decode content settings is useful if request is coming in encoded format (URL encoded). If decoding is enabled, request is decoded so that request parameter value is populated with the decoded value (not encoded one). In addition, user can use decoded value in Prefix and Suffix in the Request parameter definition. If a user wants to decode the payload content, they can choose Yes from the drop-down provided, else the user can choose No in case they do not want to decode the payload content.
• Keep Alive Timeout: Keep Alive timeout is useful when the user needs to use connection timeout for service. The keep alive timeout is defined in seconds.
• Compression Type: A user can compress the response by using compression types:

Deflate, Gzip, and BR. Selected compression type format is displayed under the Response Template.

Mock Response Details

• In mock response section, user can configure the percentage of the selected HTTP Status code to be reflected in the response of the service.
• To enable the mock response detail, the user needs to click on the Enable Mock Response checkbox.
• Once the user selects the checkbox, the user has to select the type of HTTP Status Code from the given drop-down.
• Users can also select the total percentage for the HTTP status code by specifying the values in percentage.

Content Length Indicator

• Content Length Indicator allows a user to transfer data into a series of overlapping chunks.
• To enable the content length indicator, the user has to click on the Content Length Indicator check box.
• Once the user selects the checkbox, the user has to fill up the following fields:
  1. Mode: The user can select the type of mode. There are two modes:
     1. Disable: This option is used to disable the mode.
     2. Enable: This option is used to enable the mode.

  Note: Once the user selects the Mode as Enable, then the user can select the following other fields. By default, it is set to Disable.

  2. Chunk Scheme: The user can select the chunk scheme. There are following two scheme:
     1. Size of Chunk: This option is used to set the size of the chunk.
     2. Number of Chunk: This option is used to set the number of chunk.
  3. Size of Chunk: The user can specify the size of the chunk. The value is taken in Bytes.

Note: If the user does not want to specify the size of chunk, then they can select the Default Size of Chuck checkbox.

Date Header

Date header is used to display the current date and time in the response template.

Notes:

1. Once user enables this check box, the current date and time is appended in the response.
2. Once the user has filled up all the fields, the user has to click on the Save Save icon to save the changes.
