The Sessions section in NetVision provides a comprehensive analysis of user interactions with an application. It helps in identifying performance issues, errors, and user experience trends. Each session is categorized based on performance metrics such as response time, errors, and user interactions.

UX Score Filters

Sessions are classified into four categories based on response time, errors, and user interactions:

• All: The All Sessions filter provides a comprehensive view of every recorded user session, regardless of its performance classification. This includes sessions categorized as Struggling, Satisfied, Tolerating, and Frustrated.
• Struggling Sessions :It  provides insights into user sessions that faced significant issues in terms of experience impacting events occurred in the session such as slow response times, errors, or failed interactions. Understanding this data helps in diagnosing and improving application performance. 
• Satisfied Sessions: This provides insights into user sessions that experienced smooth performance, quick response times, and minimal to no errors. This data helps in identifying characteristics of such sessions.
• Tolerating Sessions:Provides insights into user sessions that had minor delays but remained within an acceptable range as defined under UX server settings. Understanding this data helps in detecting areas that may need optimization before they adversely impact user experience.
• Frustrated Sessions: It shows user sessions that suffered severe delays, crashes, or repeated failed actions and as per the limit defined under UX server settings. Understanding this data helps in addressing critical issues that significantly impact user satisfaction.

Global Action Icons

The UI provides several global actions to manage session data:

• The Smart Search Filter: It enables users to quickly refine session data by applying specific search criteria for targeted results.
• Toggle Active Session:Enables or disables the display of currently active user sessions.
• Reload Session: Refreshes the session data to show the latest information.
• Session Trend:  Displays graphical trends of session performance over time.
• Similar Session Filter Bag:  Filters sessions based on similar attributes for comparative analysis.
• Export Session Details: Exports session data for offline review.
• Download Session: Downloads session details for further investigation.
• Toggle Columns: Allows showing or hiding specific table columns.
• Column Filter: Enables filtering within table columns for refined search results.

  • A unique identifier assigned to each recorded session.

• Entry Page
  • The first page a user landed on during the session.
  • Helps in identifying common entry points and analyzing their performance.
• Event(s)
  • Displays the key interactions that occurred in the session.
  • Includes clicks, form submissions, AJAX requests, and errors.
  • Helps in identifying user struggles and potential UX issues.
• Browser
  • Shows the web browser used in the session (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  • Important for detecting browser-specific performance issues.
• Duration
  • Represents the total time spent by the user in the session.
  • Longer durations may indicate complex user journeys, while very short durations could signal early abandonment due to frustration.
• Location
  • Indicates the geographical location of the user.
  • Useful for identifying regional performance issues or network-related problems.
• Page(s)
  • Displays the total number of pages visited during the session.
  • Helps in analyzing user engagement and navigation patterns.
• Device
  • Specifies the type of device used (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, etc.).
  • Helps in detecting device-specific performance problems.
• Client IP
  • Shows the IP address of the user.
  • Useful for security analysis, fraud detection, and tracking performance variations based on networks.
• Login ID
  • Displays the user’s unique login identifier (if available).
  • Helps in tracking specific user sessions for troubleshooting or personalization.
• OS (Operating System)
  • Identifies the operating system used (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, etc.).
  • Useful for detecting OS-specific bugs or performance issues.
