A heap dump is a snapshot of the heap memory's state at a specific point in time. It helps analyze an application's memory usage, diagnose memory issues, and identify memory leaks when captured periodically. It provides details of object instances and references, aiding in troubleshooting and optimization.

Global Action Items

• Search Box: Users can search values across all columns in the table. Simply type the keyword, and the table will instantly filter results to display only the matching rows.
• Take Heap Dump : To take Heap Dump, click the icon.
• Schedule: User can check scheduled heap dump list by clicking this icon.
• Refresh: Users can use the Refresh icon to update the table.
• Analyze Heap from Server: Users have the capability to analyze heap files located on specified server paths.
• Column Filter: Users can use the Column Filter icon to filter values by specific columns.
• Manage Columns: Users can use the Manage Column icon to show or hide columns and rearrange their sequence.
• Download: Users can use the Download icon to export table data in PDF, Word, CSV, and Excel formats.

Available Heap Dump

This will show the list of all taken Heap dump files that has been taken on the server with specific details like:

• Initiated by: Displays the user who takes the Heap Dump.
• Tier: The tier which contains the instance.
• Server: Server name where the instance resides.
• Instance: The instance for which you want to initiate the heap dump and analyze heap memory.
• Added At: Date and time when Heap Dump was started.
• File Size: This shows the size of the Heap Dump.
• Status: This shows the status of Heap Dump as running or completed or error.
• Triggered By: The schedule with which it was triggered. For e.g. users will see values like Now which will indicate that the heap dump was created at that particular instance.
• Action: The user can perform the following actions on the Heap Dump window which are listed:
  • Analyze: Users can analyze the Heap dump which is being captured.
  • Download: The user can download the Heap Dump file at the local.
  • Delete: The user can delete the taken Heap Dump file.
