• Enable / Disable all events:– To enable /disable all the generated alerts (events). On disabling, you have an option to clear all the events as well.
• Enable / Disable Alert history logging:– To allow / disallow the logging of events in the alert history table. When disabled, events are not logged in the alert history till it is enabled from here.
• Enable / Disable maintenance window for events:– To enable / disable the alert maintenance window. When disabled, No maintenance configuration is applicable for any observer.
• Allow observer configuration:– To enable the severity level(s) in the observer configuration.
  • If Critical is selected, only critical is enabled and you can configure only critical thresholds in the observer window.
  • If Major is selected, major and critical are enabled and you can configure both major and critical thresholds in the observer window.
  • If Minor is selected, all the three are enabled and you can configure all the three thresholds in the observer window.
• Skip samples for seconds on session restart:– To skip some initial samples (based on a certain duration) on the restart of a test. This is used to ignore some initial samples that may not provide accurate data due to test restart.
• Open events graphs (for a specified time) before & after the alert time:– To open graphs in the dashboard for a specified time before and after the generation of alert. This is used to analyse the deviations and the reasons for dip and rise in the values. Example: If the alert is generated at 1 PM and duration is mentioned as 10 minutes, the chart is plotted for the values between 12:50 to 1:10.
• Evaluate the observer condition when the rolling window has at least % valid samples:– To apply observer condition such that alert generation occurs only if the percentage of valid samples is atleast equal to the given percentage. The default value is set at 50%. Example: If we have six servers and atleast three servers satisfy their configured observer condition for alert generation.
