The Compare feature (along with Widget-wise Compare) enables users to analyze metrics across multiple time frames. Widget-wise comparison applies only to selected widgets, while Global Compare applies across the dashboard. While Global Compare applies across the dashboard.Comparisons can be performed in two modes:

It displays the source time for comparison i.e. the time period which will be the baseline for comparison. By default the source time is picked from the time range currently applied in the product UI. Users can customize the color of source metrics by clicking the color box dropdown, where they can select a different color, adjust the opacity, or input a hex code for a specific color.

• Trend Compare: Compares overall metric values across different time ranges, treating them as source and target. This type of comparison emphasizes trends by showing how performance metrics evolve over time. For example, users can compare the average response time of a transaction during the Past 1 Hour with the same duration 1 Day Back or 1 Week Back. Users can also customize the colors of source and target for clear visual distinction.
• Overlay Compare: Compares metric data patterns by plotting source and target periods on the same graph using different line types within a widget. This helps in identifying spikes, dips, or anomalies in trends. For example, you can compare the average response time of a transaction during the Past 4 Hours with the same duration 4 Hours Back. Source and target values are shown in separate colors, which users can customize for better clarity

Source Time

• It displays the source time for comparison i.e. the time period which will be the baseline for comparison. Select Target Time

The target time is compared with the source time. Users can add the target time from the available options. If a wrong measurement is selected, users can simply deselect it before applying the comparison.

• Time Back: Compare the source time with past periods based on Hour, Day, Week, or Month; enter a numeric value (e.g., 1, 2, 3) and select the unit, then click the Add icon to include it as a target; for example, if the source is 08:00-09:00 today and you select 1 Day Back, the system compares it with 08:00-09:00 yesterday; each added Time Back target is shown with its own color, which users can customize using the color-picker box (choose a color, adjust opacity, or enter a hex code).
• Relative to Current Time: Provides presets that are always relative to the current moment, such as Past 15 Minutes, Past 1 Hour, Past 1 Day, Past 1 Week, or Past 1 Month; selecting Past 1 Hour means the system will always take the last one hour from the current clock time; color customization is available for these target periods as well.
• Relative to Calendar Unit: Selects target periods aligned with calendar boundaries such as Today, Yesterday, This Hour, This Week, This Month, This Quarter, This Year, etc.; for example, if this Week is chosen and today is Thursday, the comparison covers Sunday through Thursday; each calendar unit target is assigned a unique color, which the user can change from the color dropdown.
• Named Time Windows: Provides quick access to predefined special days like Good Friday, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, New Year's Day, or Christmas Day; users can also define and save their own custom time windows for reuse; these too appear with a default color that can be customized for better visual separation.
• Select from Calendar: Allows selection of a completely custom range by defining exact start and end date/time from the calendar UI. Once defined, users can assign a measurement name and click Apply to use it as a target. The chosen range will be added with a default color, which can be modified via the color box. Additionally, any measurement added from the calendar can be edited or deleted as needed.
• Select Test Run: The Compare feature enables analysis of historical test runs and their phases. Clicking Show All displays a list of past runs where users can either select the Whole Test to compare complete runs (for example, comparing the overall average response time of TR 101 with TR 95) or choose a specific Phase for a focused comparison (for example, comparing the Login phase of TR 101 with the Login phase of TR 95). The measurement name (default = TR Number + Phase) can be customized, and each selected run or phase is shown in a distinct, user-configurable color.

Reset: Clears all selected compare settings and restores the default state.
