Integration point naming rules are used to give unique names to the integration points. You can select what part of the URL is used and how these are used. All selected parts are concatenated to generate the name in the following format:

HTTP_<host>_port_<URL.queryParameterValue> or HTTP_<host>_port_<patternName> e.g.HTTP_www.cavisson.com_443_/product/apm

• You can select either or all of Host , Port and URL where
• Host: The hostname of the Integration point
• Port: The port used by the integration point
• URL: The URL of the integration point
• In case of URL you can
  • Use URL parts
    • Complete
    • Select you can select the URL segment which can be the first n segment or last n segment or custom. In case of custom, you can specify the segment number(s) you want (comma separated in case of multiple) for ex: in case you want product and sector segment of URL ‘/cavisson/product/module/sector’ then you have to specify 2,4 in custom
      
      Add Request Parameters Here you can either specify the query parameter name or HTTP Request Method that will append to the integration point name. In the case of query parameter, the value of the parameter name gets appended to the integration point
  • Use URL Pattern: It allows you to add URL pattern(s) Click on the Add icon to add a URL pattern and provide the following details
  • Pattern Name: name of the pattern.
  • URL Pattern: Enter the URL pattern that is used to match one or more specific URLs. 
  • Select Mode: It can be Exact Match or Starts Match.
    • When “exact match” any URL matching the pattern exactly will be considered
    • When “starts match” is used for dynamic parts of the URL.
      for example, if the URL is /payment/acc6735467 where the account number changes then use /payment/* as the URL Pattern and mode ‘starts match’.
  • Enable HTTP Request Method: You can also use “HTTP Request Method” in the pattern to differentiate rules having the same URL but different method 

Once you have added a pattern, it will be visible in the table with all the details you have provided. You can edit or delete the added pattern.

Note

“URL IP Naming Rule” is applicable for HTTP, Web Services, AsyncHTTPCallouts, and JdkHttpClient integration points.
