The Import Script in a Group feature allows users to bring in scripts from different sources and integrate them into Cavisson for further testing. Once uploaded, scripts can also be edited in the design phase, and after saving the test, they will automatically be converted into Cavisson-compatible scripts. This feature supports multiple script types, making it easier to reuse existing assets and accelerate test creation.

Available Upload Options

Users can upload or import scripts in multiple formats to design their test:

• OpenAPI (Swagger): Users can import API definitions directly from Swagger files to quickly generate test scripts without manual effort.
• Postman: Users can upload Postman collections, reuse the existing API requests, and automatically convert them into Cavisson scripts.
• HAR (HTTP Archive): Users can import HAR files captured from browsers or other tools to create test scripts based on real end-user traffic.
• Cavisson Scripts: Users can browse and directly use existing Cavisson scripts from the server, which may have been created in earlier recordings or configurations.

Once uploaded, these scripts can also be edited in the Design Phase. After saving the test, the platform automatically converts them into Cavisson scripts, ready for execution.

Select Your Preference

Users can choose one of the following options to import or browse scripts:

• Upload: Upload a new script file (Swagger, Postman, HAR, or Cavisson script) from the local system.
• Browse Cavisson Script: Browse and select existing scripts already available in the Cavisson environment.
• Browse Cavisson Test: Browse and select preconfigured Cavisson tests that contain reusable scripts. Select a test to share from those available in the Functional and Performance categories, divided according to the respective project and its sub-projects. You can also search for the required test via the search bar at the top right corner.

By providing multiple import options, this feature helps users quickly onboard test scripts from various sources and reuse them for performance testing and functional validation.
