The JMX Monitor module allows users to configure and manage JMX-based monitors as part of the monitoring framework. These monitors help collect and track performance and health metrics exposed through JMX from applications running across different tiers and servers. The workflow includes two parts: Configuration, where users view and manage available JMX monitors, and Deployment, where users deploy the selected JMX monitors to the required tiers and servers. Users can switch between these screens using Add JMX Monitor(s) for configuration and Open Deployment UI for deployment.

Available JMX Monitor(s) Table

This section displays the list of all available JMX Monitors along with their deployment status. Users can view monitor details, add new JMX monitors, or switch between configuration and deployment views.

• Metric Group Name: Displays the name of the metric group associated with the JMX monitor.
• Metric Group Hierarchy: Shows the hierarchical path of the metric group to help users understand how the JMX metrics are organized within the system.
• Application Name: Displays the application name with which the JMX monitor is associated.
• Deployed: Indicates whether the JMX monitor is currently deployed or not.
• Action: Allows users to perform actions on the selected JMX monitor.

Action Options

The user can perform the following operations:

• Edit: Allows users to modify the configuration of the selected JMX Monitor.
• Delete: Allows users to remove the selected JMX Monitor from the configuration list.

Add JMX Monitor(s)

Allows users to add new JMX monitors to the list by configuring the required metric groups and JMX settings.

Open Deployment UI

Redirects users to the deployment screen where they can view JMX monitors deployed on selected tiers and servers or deploy configured JMX monitors to the required tier/server level.

Table Operation

The table supports the following column-level operations:

• Move Column Left: Moves the selected column one position to the left.
• Move Column Right: Moves the selected column one position to the right.
• Insert to Left: Inserts a new column to the left of the selected column.
• Insert to Right: Inserts a new column to the right of the selected column.
• Replace Column: Replaces the selected column with another column.

Global Action Icons

• Delete: Deletes selected JMX monitors using row checkboxes. A confirmation prompt is displayed before deletion.
• Manage Columns: Allows users to show or hide table columns to customize the table view.
• Column Filter: Enables filtering of rows based on column values, helping users quickly locate specific JMX monitors.
