App crash filter is mainly used for mobile apps to check in which session the app got crashed. You can either apply General or Advanced filter.

General

In general filters, you have to specify the following filters which are listed below:

• Last: Specify time filters, such as last duration (such as: 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 week, 1 day, 1 week, and so on).
• Custom: Specify the required Start and End date range.
• Select Page: In this option, you have to select the page on which you want to apply the compare. You can select the page from the drop-down provided.
• Select Channel: A channel is the medium through which you can access the site. You can select either the Desktop option or Mobile option from the drop-down provided.
• Select User Segment: It is a group of users having some common behavior or attributes. You can select one or multiple user segments as per your requirement from the given drop-down.
• Exception Message: This shows the exception message for the corresponding exception.
• Exception Name: This shows the name of the exception which has been occurred.
• Crash File Name: This shows the name of the file which is being crashed.
• Function: This shows the name of the function due to which the crash has been occurred.
• Application Name: This shows the name of the application which is being tested.
• Application Version: This shows the version for the corresponding application.

Advanced Filters

To apply the advanced filter, you have to select the following options which are listed below:

• Select Device: Here you have to select the device which you want to use (such as PC, mobile, tablet) while executing the session.
• Select Platform: Here you have to select the platform which you want to use (such as iOS, Windows, Linux) while executing the session.
• Select Location: Here you have to select the location from where you want to execute the session (such as USA, India).
• Select Mobile Carrier: It denotes the mobile operator which you are using such as: Airtel, BSNL.
• Select Connection: It denotes the type of connection which you are using, such as: 2G, 3G, 4G etc with the mobile application.

Notes:

• Once all the fields are entered, you have to click on the Apply Apply button to apply the crash filter.
• Once the crash filter is applied, you will see the following details which are listed below:
  1. Exception: This shows the exception in an app crash.
  2. Exception Message: This shows the exception message if any.
  3. Crashed file name: This shows the name of the file which is crashed.
  4. Function Name: This shows the name of the function due to which the crash happened.
  5. Count: This shows the number of counts in the crash.
• You can also reset the filter by clicking on the Reset Filters icon.
