Custom Metric

Custom metrics are specific measurements that businesses or developers create to track things that are important to them but not already provided by standard tools. They allow you to see how well your website, application, or business is doing in areas that matter most to you. There are following types of custom metrics which are listed below:

• Number: This refers to numerical values that are used to quantify various aspects of user interactions, behaviors, or system performance during a session.
• Text: This refers to the use of textual data as a type of custom metric. Textual data is a non-numerical information, represented as a “strings of characters”, “words”, “sentences”, or “paragraphs”.
• JSON: This refers to the way of organizing and sharing data between systems which are easy to read and works well for the complex data’s. JSON’s are often used for storing and sending customized metric data in a standardized form.
• Double: This refers to a data type used to represent floating-point numbers with double precision. A "double" data type can store decimal numbers with a higher level of accuracy compared to a "float" data type.

Note: In this window, you'll see the Trend Graph and the Report for custom data that falls under the category of String/Text type. Additionally, Filters for other types of custom metrics will be inactive.

Top n Keywords

This report shows top n keywords for a custom metric in a given time period. The report can be seen in a Graphical and a Tabular format. The top n keywords consist of following two fields which are listed below:

• Keyword: Keywords are used for assigning specific terms or phrases to a session for capturing important information or characteristics. These keywords are determined by the data which are been generated on the basis of specific criteria. Keyword shows the list of top n keywords. By default, the list displays the Top 10 keywords.
• Count: Count refers to a numeric value that represents the quantity or frequency of a specific event within a session. This shows the total number of count of the keyword.

Note: You will give input for the Keyword - [select box with top n keyword as option].

Custom Report Request Count

Custom report request count displays the graphical representation for the Top n Keywords i.e.: On the basis of the keywords and count.

Trend for n Keywords

The “Trend for n keywords” refers to the pattern or direction in which a specific set of ‘n’ keyword is changing over a certain period of time. This analysis often involves monitoring changes in metrics like: frequency of occurrence, popularity, or other relevant indicators associated with those keywords. This report shows the trend of the top n keyword for a custom metric in a given time period. Here, ‘n’ is configurable.

Correlation for n Keywords

A correlation refers to a statistical measure that quantifies the relationship between two or more variables. These variables are typically metrics or attributes collected during user sessions. This report allows to see correlation of a keyword from other metrics which are listed below:

• Session: This refers to the total number of sessions during given time frame.
• Page Views: This refers to the total number of pages which are being accessed in a session.
• Order Total: This refers to the sum of monetary values associated with items or services that a user has selected and intends to purchase during a session.
• Order Count: This refers to the total number of completed transactions in a session.
• Conversion Rate: This refers to the percentage of users or visitors who converted by completing the desired action.

Legend

In legend, you can show or hide a data by clicking on the legend name. Once you click on a particular legend name, it will hide the data from the Custom Metrics Correlation Chart. To unhide the data, you have to click on the legend name again. There are following legends which are listed below along with their color coding:

Chart Context Menu

In chart context menu, you can perform the following operations which are listed below:

• Print Chart: This option is used to print the chart context.
• Download PNG Image: This option is used to download the chart context in PNG format.
• Download JPEG Image: This option is used to download the chart context in JPEG format.
• Download PDF Document: This option is used to download the chart context in PDF format.
• Download SVG Vector Image: This option is used to download the chart context in SVG format.
