A session is a sequence of activities that a visitor with a unique IP address spends on a website during a specified period. A visitor session begins upon accessing the application and ends when the visitor quits the application. The number of visitor sessions on a site is used in measuring the amount of traffic a website gets. In a session, you can see the following details which are listed below:

• Session Details
• Pages
• Custom Metrics

Note: You can access a specific session detail by clicking on that corresponding session on the left side panel.

Session Details

Custom Metrics are used for capturing custom data specific to the client (or application). It captures any kind of data like: Number (Int and Double), String, JSON etc. In custom metrics window, you can see the following details which are listed below:

• Page Name: This is a user-defined metric used to identify and track the names of web pages visited by the users during their interactions with a website, application or digital platform.
• Name: This is a user-defined identifier assigned to a specific metric which are essential to provide context, clarity and meaning to the custom metrics.
• Value: This is the actual measurement associated with the metric representing a specific aspect of interest.
• PageInstance: This refers to a unique representation of a specific web page or screen that a user interacts with during a browsing session.

Notes: You can also perform the following operations on the session window which are listed below:

• Toggle Column: You can Show/Hide a column by clicking on the Toggle Column button in the table.
• Column Filter: You can perform search operation to the column by clicking on the Column Filter button in the table.
• Download: This option enables you to download the session details report in your local. To download the report, you have to click on the Download icon. There are following 3 formats in which you can download the report which are listed below:
  1. CSV
  2. EXCEL
  3. PDF
• Search Filter: You can search the tabs by providing the name on the Search Input box specific Start time, Page name, Events

Global Action Items

In the session details window, you can also perform the following operations which are listed below:

• Play Session : On clicking this icon, you can replay a session from the session detail window. This navigates the you to the session replay window.
• Export Session Details : On clicking this icon, you can download the session details in Excel format.
• Similar Session Filter Bag : On clicking this icon, you will have these options: include user action, include HTTP failure, include JS error, include event. You can select either single or multiple options, once you select you have to click on the Submit Submit Button. Once you click on the button, the sequence will be add into the similar session filter bag.
• Export as Test Case : On clicking this icon, you can download the test cases into your local.
• View Flow path Report : On clicking this icon, you will be navigated to the Flowpath window where you can view the ND flowpath reports of that particular session.
• View Logs : On clicking this icon, you will be navigated to the Logs window where you can view the NF log reports of that particular session.

Note: You can also see the Session ID at the top left corner of the Session window.
