Overview

Scheduling is performed to generate reports at continuous intervals. Scheduling involves setting up a system or process to automatically generate reports at regular ongoing intervals without manual intervention. In the Add Schedule window, you will see the following information:

Report Details

A report detail refers to specific information or parameters that are associated with the report that is being scheduled. These details will help define what the report contains, how it's being presented, and when it will be generated. There are the following fields which you have to fill in the report details:

Note: The report name should start with a letter and must be between 1 to 20 characters long (inclusive).

Non-business Hours are not supported for Compare Reports.

Note: While selecting any options other than the Total Session will also reflect some fields like the number of Hours, Days, Weeks, etc, and also provide an option for showing the report in Column or Tab format.

Notes: While changing the report type we have two more cases of UI:

  1. In the case of selecting Metrics in report type, we have.

Note: While selecting HTML, an option for Report Settings will appear. Where we have the option to select or unselect the check box of Report visualization type i.e. Analysis Summary, Performance Summary, Metrics Summary, and Metrics Charts.

  1. Preset: On selecting this, you can apply the preset time period from the respective drop-down for example: Today, Live, Whole Scenario, Past, and Event.
  2. Custom: On selecting this, you can apply the custom time period where you have to select the Start and End Time.
  3. View By: In the View by option, you can specify the format of aggregated data (such as Sec, Min, Hour, and Days) based on the selection of the Preset option. For example, by selecting the Auto option, the view by value is automatically considered based on the progress interval defined in scenario settings and by selecting the Sec, Min, Hours, and Days there is a corresponding dropdown for these.

Note: While selecting HTML in Format, This option is enabled by default.

  1. In the case of selecting UX Custom, UX Standard, and UX Template in the report type.

Note: While selecting Days, Month, and Year, a checkbox of time will appear where you can fill the time for reporting by enabling it, and while selecting weeks the same option will appear with another checkbox that gives a dropdown of days of the week for the reporting.

Schedule

The schedule refers to the process of setting up a predefined plan for when the report will be automatically generated and delivered. In schedule, you can automate the process of generating and delivering reports at specified times in which you will receive updated and relevant information regularly without manual intervention. There are the following options that you can select to schedule a report:

  1. Every: In this option, you have to provide the number of hours you want to schedule in the ___Hour(s) field and the expiry time and date in the Expires on the field in MM/DD/YY HH:MM.
  1. If you want to start the offset with a specific time, you have to click on the With starting offset of ___ Minute(s) checkbox.
  2. If you want to add the offset in the preset time, then you have to click on the Add Offset In Preset checkbox.
  3. On clicking on the Expires option, you can select the expiration date and time from the drop-down provided. To clear the applied expiration time, you have to click on the Clear Expiry Time icon.
  1. Daily At: In this option, you have to provide the time you want to schedule the report in hours and minutes. On clicking, a drop-down will appear from where you can select the time and also you can click on the Clear Time icon to clear the applied time.

  1. you have to select the start time on the Start Time Dialog Box and expiry time on the Expires on Dialog Box from their respective drop-downs.
  2. To clear the applied start time, you have to click on the Clear Start Time icon.
  3. To clear the applied expired time, you have to click on the Clear Expiry Time icon.

Mailing Info

The mailing info refers to the specified details related to the distribution or delivery of the generated report via email. Mailing info allows you to automate the process of distributing scheduled reports via email to the designated recipients. There are the following options which you need to fill in mailing info:

Notes:

  1. If you want to add more than one recipient to the mail, you have to add them by separating the name using Semi-Colon (;) mark
  2. You can also refer to the HINTS below for adding them to the body section by clicking on the corresponding hints.
  3. Once you have entered all the information in the Add Schedule window for the report details, you have to click on the Save button to save the configuration.
  4. On saving the configuration, it will be displayed on the Schedule window.
