Sync Points act as meeting points where multiple VUsers pause until a defined number or percentage of users arrive, allowing the system to generate simultaneous load on the server. This screen allows users to monitor, manage, release, and analyze Sync Points created within a scenario. It also displays real-time Sync Point statistics and a complete event history for debugging and performance analysis.

Sync Point Summary

The Sync Point Summary table lists all configured Sync Points and their execution details. It displays each Sync Point's group, type, name, participation percentage, target VUsers, release mode, schedule, last release reason, and current status. Users can add, modify, delete, activate, deactivate, or manually release a Sync Point from this table. It helps determine how many users are currently waiting, how many have arrived, and when the next release is expected to occur.

Field Descriptions

• Group: Shows the group to which the Sync Point belongs (e.g., ALL, specific group)
• Type: Indicates the type of Sync Point, such as Page, Transaction, Script, or Custom.
• Name: Displays the name of the object on which the Sync Point is applied.
• Participating (%): Shows the percentage of VUsers participating in the Sync Point relative to the total VUsers.
• VUsers Target: Number of users required to reach the Sync Point before it can be released.
• VUsers Current: Number of users who have currently arrived at the Sync Point.
• VUsers Count: Number of users remaining or processed based on the Sync Point logic.
• Mode: Displays whether the Sync Point is released automatically or manually.
• Release Type: Indicates the type of release, such as Target Users, Absolute Time, Periodic release, or custom release patterns.
• Schedule: Defines when users will be released once they reach the Sync Point (e.g., after timeout, periodically, or at a fixed absolute time).
• Reason: Shows the last reason for Sync Point release. This is updated each time the Sync Point releases.
• Actions: Provides options to add, edit, delete, activate, deactivate, or manually release the Sync Point.

Release Reasons

• Target Reached: Release triggered when the required number of VUsers arrive at the Sync Point.
• Overall Timeout: Maximum allowed waiting time expires before all required VUsers arrive, triggering a forced release.
• Inter User Arrival Timeout: Release triggered when the gap between arriving users exceeds the configured limit.
• Manual Release: User manually releases the Sync Point at any state.
• Multiple Release Policy: Releases users in successive batches using combined absolute and periodic release steps.
• Single Release Policy: Releases a defined percentage of users over a configured duration.

Sync Point Status

• Activated: Sync Point is enabled and ready to accept VUsers.
• Deactivated: Sync Point is disabled and will not participate during execution.
• In Progress: Sync Point is currently collecting users; all actions remain disabled for this state.

Sync Point History

The Sync Point History section displays a chronological log of events associated with the selected Sync Point. This includes user arrival events and Sync Point release events. Each entry helps analyze synchronization behavior and verify whether the Sync Point executed as expected.

• Elapsed Time: Time passed from the beginning of the event sequence until the event occurred. Useful for tracking user arrival patterns and release timing.
• Absolute Time: The exact timestamp at which an event occurred, shown in MM/DD/YY HH:MM:SS format. Helps correlate events with other logs
• Event Description: Detailed explanation of the event such as VUser arrival, participation percentage achieved, or Sync Point release. Arrival events are logged in controlled intervals, while all release-related events are recorded without skipping.
