Introduction

Custom metrics let users capture application-specific data or client-side system data. The built-in metrics collected by Cloud Monitoring can give user information on backend latency or disk usage. Custom metrics are created by the user by using derived formulas.

Menus available on metric node

• Merge metric with active widget: It will merge selected metrics on the active widget.
• Add Derived Metrics: It opens the derived window to create a new derived metric.
• Show Description: It opens a page that shows the selected metric description and metric group name and description.
• Remove Metric: It removes selected derived metric.
• View Expression: It shows the expression of the derived metric on the new page.

• Show description: It opens a page that shows the description of all metrics in that group and the metric group name and description.
• Remove Node: It removes selected groups.
