This functionality is used to open such metrics from the tree, which have related subject hierarchy in the same or across metric groups. This option is displayed for any subject node like: tier, server, instance, interface, destination, disk partition, processor etc. It has four sub-menus. It can be an exact match or a partial match.

Operations

You can select the subject hierarchy by which you want to search related metrics. By default, it is filled by the subject hierarchy of selected nodes. For each subject there are three options which are listed below:

• All: If "All" is selected in the drop-down, then the graphs are displayed from all tiers/servers/instances. System also prompts for displaying graphs on single widget or separate widgets via Show Together
• Pattern: If "Pattern" is selected, you can specify a pattern for tier/server/instance. A textbox is displayed with the value of the component and this is editable. You can also make a pattern by putting a regular expression.
• Specific Value: You can select a specified tier/server/instance (device) from the drop-down list.

Tags

Using tag features, you can support various tags associated with the various servers, services, instances mainly in the cloud environment so that you are able to see the tree, metric data, alerts using the tags as filter criteria. There are following two fields which are listed below:

• Name: In name, you have to provide the name of the tag which you want to use. You can select the name from the given drop-down list.
• Value: In value, you have to select the value based on the tag's name from the drop-down.

Note: Once you have selected the name and the value, then you have to click on the Add button to add the tag. If you want to provide a tagline, you can also give the tag line by providing the details in the comment section.

Filter in Metrics

Filter in metrics is used to define in which groups of metrics you want to find related metrics. You can select a catalogue or can select metrics. Catalogue is pre-defined bundled metrics. You can filter the metrics from the following below given two options:

Metric Group: In the metric group, there are following fields which are to be selected from their respective drop-down which are mentioned below:

• Metric Group: In this field, the group which is to be used for the metric is to be selected.
• Metric Name: In this field, the name which is to be used for the metric is to be selected.
• Select Subject: In this field, the subject which is to be used for the metric is to be selected. There are following two options that can be chosen for subject selection:
  • All: On selecting this option, the metric will be applied to all the subjects.
  • Specified: On selecting this option, the metric will be applied on the selected specified subjects.

Notes:

1. In case of specified, there are further options like - Advance and Specified.
2. After selecting the metric group, metric name, and select subjects, click on the Add Add button to add the metric group to the table.
3. Advance: You can select All, Select Pattern, or Cavisson Tier along with the corresponding servers. After making your selections, click the Apply Apply button and enter the pattern to see the result on the right side.
4. Specified: You can select a mix of tiers and servers by using this option

Note: Once you have selected the metric filters, it will be shown in the below metric table. In the metric table, you can see the details of the following fields:

• Metric Group: It will display the name of the metric group.
• Metric Name: It will show the name of the metric.
• Subject: It will show the subject name.
• Action: In action, you can perform the delete action. To perform the delete action, you have to click on the Delete button. You can also apply filter on the metric table by clicking on the Column Filter icon
