Cavisson's Functional Testing helps users to verify whether an application's features, user interfaces, APIs, and integrations work as intended, ensuring that they meet the specified functional requirements.

This module enables users to design, execute, and manage automated functional tests to confirm that core business workflows behave as expected under realistic conditions. It provides a unified view where users can track recent test runs with their status and duration, organize and execute test cases and test suites with version control, and analyze detailed reports that include logs, progress tracking, and re-run options.

In addition, global options such as search, refresh, manage, and export make it easy to work with test data and streamline reporting.

Recent Test Run(s)

The Recent Test Run(s) section provides information about the latest executed runs. It displays run details such as: what test suite was executed, when the run started, how long it took to complete, how many test cases were involved, and the outcome in terms of passed or failed test cases.. It also displays run details such as:

• Test Run: Unique identifier of the Test run.
• Test Suite: Displays the name of the associated test suite.
• Start Date and Time: Shows when the run execution started.
• Total Duration: Total time taken for the run to complete.
• Total Test Cases: Number of test cases executed in the run.
• Pass: The count of test cases that were executed successfully without any errors.
• Fail: The count of test cases that did not execute successfully or encountered errors during the run.
• Status: Indicates whether the run has Passed or Failed.
• Master Checkbox: Located at the top-left, allows bulk selection of rows for performing any action.
• Available Actions
  • Stop: This option will stop the test run.
  • View Test Suite:Users can view details of the test suite associated with the run.
  • Export Test: Users can export the run details for backup or external usage.
  • Delete: Users can delete test runs by clicking this icon.
• Recent Test Run(s) Actions (Three dots):
  • Migrate Test Run: Allows users to move a test run from one project or environment to another.
  • Recycle Bin: Stores deleted items temporarily, giving users the option to restore or permanently delete them.
  • Archive/Unarchive: Lets users archive tests for later use or unarchive them to make them active again.
  • Lock/Unlock: Secures a test from editing by locking it, or makes it editable again by unlocking.
  • Import: Enables users to bring in existing tests or configurations from external sources.

Function Test Run Report

The Functional Test Run Report provides step-by-step details of each executed test run, including start time, duration, and pass/fail status. It also allows follow-up actions such as re-running failed tests and reviewing logs for troubleshooting. It displays:

• Test Case Name: Displays the name of the executed test case.
• Description: Provides additional details about the test case.
• Start Date/Time: Shows when the execution began.
• Duration: Displays the total time taken for the test execution.
• Status: Indicates whether the test case was successful or failed.
• Available Actions
  • Stop: Stop the ongoing test execution.
  • View Report: Open the detailed report, which includes:
    • Visual Progress (using virtual user trace).
    • Network Logs (request/response traffic details).
    • Session Detail (RBU).
  • Re-run: Execute the test again with the same configuration.
  • Delete: Users can delete the multiple test runs by selecting the test run check box.
